Worldview

Every person, and every blog, needs a motto or slogan to hang one’s thoughts on. Better yet, what everyone needs is a statement of purpose and a view of life.  This blog and this blogger subscribe to a worldview, what the Germans call Weltanschauung, that is nicely expressed in this opening line from an early novel of the  great Master.

The world is what it is; men who are nothing, who allow themselves to become nothing, have no place in it.

V.S. Naipaul

A Bend in the River (1979)
